
MEASURING & TESTING
RFOptic provides a wide range of solutions for testing and measurement applications based on Optical RF technology. Our offerings include Optical Delay Lines and RADAR Altimeter Testing. RFOptic has developed a series of Optical Delay Lines that deliver delays ranging from a few nanoseconds to several hundred microseconds. These can be configured as a single delay line or as progressive optical delay lines with up to 16 basic delay configurations. Our systems operate at frequencies up to 60GHz, with switching times from a few milliseconds to a few microseconds.
The Optical Delay Line family can be installed in a 19” 3U rackmount box, a compact unit known as the “Mini ODL,” or a separate box designated as the “RF Delay Line.” The customization process begins with customers completing a questionnaire on our website, followed by careful simulations of the Optical Delay Line. We collaborate closely with our customers to identify the best solution to meet their needs.
Our RADAR Altimeter Testing solution provides high-performance capabilities for testing and calibrating RADAR Altimeter systems. This allows users to replicate landing and takeoff scenarios with real-time accuracy, which is essential for pilot training. Our customized Optical Delay Line solution, equipped with high-resolution delay steps, effectively “tricks” a flight simulator’s altimeter into thinking it is flying, simulating various flight conditions, including takeoff and landing.
